Based in Lincolnshire, England – I have been designing and making show ring decorations for heavy horses since 2010. Specialising in flights, plaits, tail rings, mane rolls and neckbands, I make for heavy horse enthusiasts around the world and provide the most comprehensive range of colours and combinations from personal favourites to corporate colour schemes.
I have some original creations and traditional favourites. I also supply ribbons, raffia, mane tapes and other accessories for the show ring. Help! I have no experience of decorating a Heavy Horse for showing, are you able to advise me?
Yes, of course. I'm more than happy to help and advise you, It can be daunting trying to choose the right decorations when you start. (We've all been there). I can make recommendations and suggestions to help you along the way. I'm happy to chat over the phone or message me via text, What'sApp or Messenger or send me an email.
Do you provide International delivery?
Yes, I have many international customers. . I dispatch overseas orders by royal mail tracked and/or signed. .This insures your order in the unlikely event that it should it does not arrive. Website adds postage at checkout. I’m happy to dispatch orders at standard rate but please note there is no tracking or insurance coverage and this rate is at customer own risk. If you prefer standard rate please email me before placing your order so I can price this for you.
Overseas customers please check your countries customs import tax charges before placing your order. Some countries charges this can be quite steep.
What is your returns policy?
All Items are made to order. I am unable to accept returns unless the item is proved to be faulty, so please ensure your order choices are correct before payment. If, due to a fault in workmanship, you need to return an item, please do so within 7 days of receiving your order. Please contact me for return details. No used items can be returned.
How do I track my order?
UK orders are delivered by Royal Mail. Standard First or Second class postage. I am happy to provide the proof of postage receipt if required. If you prefer your order to be tracked and insured please advise at time of ordering this will incur additional cost.
Are the colour dots on the website for choosing decorations the exact colour?
No, I do my best to get as close a likeness as possible, but each device with show colours slightly differently. If you require an exact colour match please send me a sample and I will do my very best to match it for you. Alternatively I can post a colour sample out to you.
Do all heavy horses wear a tail ring?
No, only the Shire breed wears a tail ring, also known as a jug handle.
Are male and female heavy horses decorated?
Both male and female Shires, Percherons, Suffolks wear decorations in the show ring. Traditionally only Male Clydesdales are decorated for showing, except for tail sprigs and a tail bow the Females are left natural. Neither male or female Clydesdales would traditionally wear a neckband
